Join us for the next session in our “NbS Financing Pitch & Match” series, a webinar series by Invest4Nature dedicated to unlocking funding opportunities for nature‑based solutions (NbS). The format brings together real NbS initiatives seeking financing and representatives from the investment sector offering advice and feedback for the city to secure funding. Get some practical inspiration for implementing your own NbS across Europe!
In this edition
This session highlights an NbS case pitch from Katowice, Poland: a therapeutic green pavilion designed to support the wellbeing of patients, staff, and visitors at a psychiatric centre. The initiative proposes a green-roof pavilion with vertical gardens to enhance mental health, create restorative outdoor spaces, strengthen biodiversity, and improve the therapeutic environment.
After a short presentation of the NbS case, we will hear from our investment sector representative to see how this NbS case can get ‘matched’ with funding. It explores what kinds of funding could be an option and how can the case be positioned to attract them.
Participants will gain insight into how health‑focused urban NbS can be framed, pitched, and assessed from an investment perspective.
Speakers:
NbS case: Wioletta Mlocek, Municipal Greenery Dept. Katowice
Financing perspective: Linda Romanovska, Melomys Advisory
Moderator: Lydia Lienhart, Joanneum Research
The session will include expert insights, live discussion, and time for Q&A. Participants are welcome to submit questions in the chat.
In this edition we are working together with Network Nature+‘s Task Force 3 and UrbanByNature.

About the webinar series
The NbS Financing Pitch & Match series brings together NbS cases and funders to spotlight different and innovative financing models for promising NbS endeavours – from public incentives to private investment and blended finance.
It aims to:
- Bridge the Gap Between Endeavours and Investors: Facilitate connections between institutions with NbS endeavours (e.g. administrations, SMEs) and seeking funding, and financial institutions interested in NbS projects.
- Drive Investment and Scale: By connecting stakeholders and providing realworld examples, we aim to increase investment in NbS, supporting the EU Nature Restoration Act and sustainability reporting initiatives.
- Leveraging cooperation and synergy: By working together with related projects and initiatives, we aims to maximize impact and outreach for NbS cases that are still in need of financing.
