Oppla

Oppla is the EU Nature-Based Solutions Knowledge Repository: an open platform for sharing the latest thinking and resources on natural capital, ecosystem services, nature-based solutions and related approaches. It is free to join and free to use, following the principles of open data. Oppla’s purpose is to simplify how we share, obtain and create knowledge to better manage our environment. Oppla has experience of participating in a number of nature-based solutions, natural capital and ecosystem services projects notably Connecting Nature, ThinkNature, We Value Nature, Network Nature, INTERLACE, CONEXUS, Go Green Routes, CircHive, CLIMB-FOREST and BIONEXT.

Our role in the project

In Invest4Nature Oppla is leading the work package on understanding stakeholder needs and enabling nature-based solutions readiness. Oppla will oversee a stakeholder mapping and engagement exercise and develop an online workspace for collaboration. Oppla will also be contributing to the development of a decision support toolbox, assessment of qualitative and quantitative approaches to elicit and derive benefits and costs of nature-based solutions and evaluating the financial performance of nature-based solutions.
