Climate Alliance (CA) is Europe's largest city network dedicated to comprehensive and equitable climate action, with nearly 2,000 members spread across more than 25 European countries. For over 30 years, Climate Alliance member municipalities have been acting in partnership with indigenous rainforest peoples for the benefit of the global climate. Each member city, town and district has committed itself to continually cut greenhouse gas emissions, aiming for a 95% reduction by 2050 (compared to 1990 levels) in line with IPCC recommendations. Climate Alliance pairs local action with global responsibility.
Climate Alliance will play a role mostly in the management and mapping of stakeholders in the project. Thanks to its large European network and its offices in Frankfurt (DE) and Brussels (BE), Climate Alliance will scale out the work done in Invest4Nature at a European level and use its Working Group on Adaptation and its policy campaigns to promote the work done in Invest4Nature. In particular, Climate Alliance will create a nature-based solutions (NBS) investment community that will bring investors into regular contact with suppliers and buyers of NBS, leading to opening of opportunities for the facilitation of collaborative partnerships for NBS.
